Wendy House is a small jewel box situated within the gardens of a residence in Seattle. The owners requested an addition that would sit within the mature landscape of their property with a direct connection to the main house. This contemplative space was designed to create a calm retreat within their own home. Rather than tying into the materials and architectural style of the main house, the new addition separates itself with a complimentary palette of muted brick tones and dark bronze details, quietly asserting itself without overpowering its context. A green roof and surrounding plant beds helps tie the low lying structure further into the surrounding gardens.
